the story
THIS charming GUeSTHOUSE STAY AWAITS YOU!
Why the name Feather's?
Upon purchasing the Guesthouse, Rosita Rosario descendant of the late Belizian bush doctor and healer, Don Panti, visited the property to do a ceremonial welcome blessing. During this evening ceremonial process, the Eagle was chosen as the property’s totem animal. Shortly after, 2 beautiful Eagles simultaneously arrived on the property, shocking various people who witnessed this event, however Rosita was less surprised. The name Feather’s was derived from this event, to honor the totem animal of the property discovered through this ceremonial blessing.
My Vision
I was born and raised in Africa where my parents owned a remote, luxury lodge. After high school I travelled extensively and ended up in Hawaii for over 25 years! When I first moved to San Pedro over a decade ago now, I fell in love with the Island culture and the warmth of the Belizean people. I knew this was a place that I wanted to call home. Feathers Guesthouse has given me the privilege and ability to meet people from all over the world while painting artwork in my spare time. I am honored to host you as a guest at my guesthouse and I hope you will enjoy your stay in this beautiful country, Belize!
